My outfit of the day is a combination of FLF and Collabor88 thrown together. Two wonderful events that are inexpensive but showcase some wonderful designers. My dress is from Collabor88 and absolutely gorgeous! When I saw the jewelry from League today for FLF I thought of this dress immediately. League is really becoming quite the place to go for some fantastic jewelry sets and this one is no exception. It has a great variety of options and if you hurry you can get it for 50L.

Once upon a time my friend Hunter gave me a landmark to take some photos that were ...well topless. I needed a place that had water that was gorgeous and the place I landed at was Rustica. While I was taking my pictures the owner, Maxwell Graf, sent me an IM and said hello. I wanted to die of embarrassment but he was so nice about it all. We became friends and last night while I was having a really crumby night he dropped the most amazing gift on me.

Now if you aren't familiar with his work you need to get over to his place right away! He crafts the most amazing stuff. I absolutely love his trees and his furniture etc is to die for. Well last night he I received some mesh witches boots. OMGarsh they are adorable! I haven't got into Mesh a lot yet until now since I am officially on break but you really must get these! They come in Purple, Green, Red, Black and Orange! You get all 5 colors for 150L. They fit amazingly and as you can see they are just precious! I am providing the slurl below...run don't walk there now!

It's been a few weeks since I participated in the challenge as I was moving in real life. My parents came to help me move since my son wouldn't and isn't currently speaking to me because of said move. During the move the refrigerator fell on my dad and then later that night he suffered a mini stroke. It was by far the worst move ever! I started back to my teaching job the Monday after that weekend so it has been a horrible few weeks to say the least.

Anyway this has been the first time I have really felt like I could sit down and do the challenge properly. I grabbed a top from a NR outfit and tossed it with some older COCO pants I had and decided this was a close as I was going to get. lol

Yup, my head IS on backwards. We can thank the wonders of sl for that. I've had a rough week and then my son decided to be a butthead to me which is what made me think of this shirt for the challenge in the first place. Then sl decided I would pull an Exorcist as I was posing so I gave up and went with it so hence the picture. lol

The shirt is from Dutch Touch...it was a freebie a while back and the shorts are from EBT. I believe the hat was a gift from Digital Knickers but I could be wrong.

P.S. I love you Emerald for having a bigger inventory than my 128k! <3

I went with simple this week for the color challenge. I am moving in rl and was and will be pushed for time the next few weeks. The shorts are a pair of favorites of mine that are OLD from Stellar and I'm not sure they are even available any more. I have known Lexy from way back when we played in Interhogan in The Sims Online and she makes some awesome sexy clothes. These are prim free no adjustment, sexy-assed short shorts!

The top is from d.Select and is simple and cool looking and since I live in Arizona it fit totally with something I would be wearing here right about now. The monsoon season has hit so we are totally into wearing anything that keeps us cool!

Strangelings...

The team at Ozimals introduced us to a new project they were working on called Strangelings. There have been several teasers but this was our first in world opportunity to see them up close and personal! We were NOT disappointed! They are adorable and intriguing and the buzz was people are excited. So many people came out to see the preview that the Sim crashed and another one had to be opened up providing two locations to accommodate all of the interested parties.

This was just a preview so not a lot of history was given about them yet. This is what Candy said at the meeting I attended.

" Right now, the "starter" Strangelings are fox-like. There are 38 colors at the moment, though not all of them will be visible at release. Some of the colors are bright fantasy colors, but another part of our palette is more "natural"; we learned from our bunnies that people want both options."

As you can see from the picture the colors are amazing! They didn't have any of the natural ones out yet but I am anxious to see those as well.

I've been with Ozimals from the closed beta stages and I have seen them grow and learn from the bunnies. I have seen them implement this wisdom and am really excited to see them apply all this knowledge to a totally new project that it being built from the ground up.

They have listened to the customers and have great customer service! I am also always amazed at how they are always trying to improve things. Here is another quote from Candy about the Strangelings as well as somethings they hope to do with the bunnies.

" One of the coolest things about Strangelings is that they are cloud server based. What this means for you is less reliance on objects in world in SL behaving correctly, and far fewer physical updates. We can do many more dynamic changes and be far more flexible, using the system we've developed for Strangelings. It is working so well that we intend to switch the bunnies to server-side operation in a future bunny update."

As if all the excitement over the Strangelings wasn't enough...they also mentioned that at the meeting next week, June 27th, there would be another announcement made about another new project! AND the upcoming Summer Festival which is all about the Bunnies!

They left the Strangelings out for a bit for people that didn't make it to the meeting to check out...head over quickly if you want to see them in person.

I went looking for a desert area to use as a back drop and typed in Arizona. I came across the Asset sim and used it but as I was snapping away I remembered all the boring in-service meetings Asset makes us go to. Why couldn't we hold them here in Second Life. lol Then I thought hey!... they get government funding and we are forced to take a pay cut this year after 3 years of no raises but they can have a spot in Second Life? What is wrong with this picture? lol

Anyway the color was Mahogany and I really love the color and think it turned out OK for a summery outfit.

My search for "jade" began in my inventory of 124k. I had nothing. So I next hit the marketplace and mostly found things made by people named "Jade" (some of which I know for a fact were dated back to 2005 lol). So I next did a search in the "all" tab and went from there. The variety of versions of "jade" I found was hilarious. So I settled on this gorgeous jacket because I liked it and it was something I would wear again in the future. It could also be because I am on double vicodins for the dry socket I have in my recently pulled tooth. Either way this is my entry for "Jade" this week. :)

*Panting* Okay, I'll admit I always thought ruby was red. But the color swatch this week looked pink to me so that's what I went with. lol

I decided the adorable outfit from DCNY was perfect and I have been wanting to play with another Bloom Doll so this seemed the perfect time. Sooooo...meet Yoga Bloom! She has way more energy than I do at the moment.

She is working out on this totally awesome yoga mat from Cheeky Pea! If you haven't invested in this you should. Your avie will love you and you will have tons of fun playing with all the things it does. (such as change color and several poses.) It appears my break is over and time to get back to my workout! I had it in black that we all wore for a good friends birthday a few years ago and since it was Easter weekend I couldn't resist grabbing it in periwinkle. CaT Homestyle / Animals and Ozimals Give Back!

If you haven't been to Caren Jewell's CaT Homestyle / Animals store lately you are really missing out! I stopped by looking for a certain bunny and walked away with a gorgeous array of decorations for them instead. lol She has a bunch of great bunnies just not the one I was looking for. Her decorations though are out of this world. The textures and colors are amazing and the prices are beyond reasonable and quite honestly a steal! I don't think anything shown here was over 100L and some of it should have been. If you are selling bunnies this stuff would look super in your store or if you are like me and like to decorate your sim with stuff it would look great there too. You really should go check it out!

The bunnies you see on display are the two bunnies that Ozimals has for sale right now with 100% of the proceeds going to charity. The Limited Edition Tancho Sanke Koi Bunneh is in support of the displaced and lost animals effected by the events of the past month in Japan.

The "Sakura" - the Cherry Blossom bunny's proceeds are going to Mercy Corps Japan Earthquake Response fund ( https://www.mercycorps.org/donate/japan ) who partners with Peace Winds, a Japanese charity. (http://www.peace-winds.org/en/)

Sky Blue was this weeks color challenge and I knew I had this dress by Callie Cline that I had never worn so it was my obvious choice. It's a gorgeous gown and it also gave me the chance to wear a necklace done by my good friend Candy Cerveau from Eye Candy. It is one of the most exquisite pieces of jewelry I think in game. I absolutely love it!

Spring Antics

So I ventured out to the Ozimals' sim and visited Bunnybury. I chatted with one of the older bunnies there and he told me about some of the fun activities the bunnies were involved in. As you can see he is kept quite busy with some of the younger bunnies antics but was chuckling the whole time I was there.

Spring has definitely arrived in Bunnybury! They are having such a good time swimming and romping around there. They have a great selection of the St. Patty's Day goodies to munch on and have provided a lovely picnic area for their human families to come sit and visit with them anytime. They also have the Bunnybury vendors there just in case you want to shop for some goodies. They have thought of everything. It is extremely peaceful there and gorgeous. So if you haven't been there in a while you really should go for a visit soon!

Spring has Sprung!

It isn't often that I find an outfit in SL that pleases me as much as this one from Mon Tissu does. I have bought several things from there and some were a disappointment so I wasn't sure about this dress and jacket but I took a chance because it is very much like something I would wear in rl and the colors are gorgeous and very springlike. What I liked the most about it, besides the fact I didn't have to edit it all over the place, was that I could see the versatility of it. The jacket and top, and clearly the belt could be used easily with other outfits making it well worth the lindens invested in it. Not to mention it is adorable on. Ugh! It's 80 degrees out today! I know for most of you that would be wonderful but for those of us in AZ that means the temps are going up. It also means they don't come down again until the end of October. When I say come down I mean under 100 degrees. (even at night...try going outside at 2 am and having it still be over 100) Sooo in honor of this early heat wave I chose a very summery dress. This dress from Lithium Flower is simple and I love that and the flexi skirt that comes with it.

I actually like lime as a color choice and had trouble deciding which thing I wanted to blog. I was feeling the pull of spring the day I was shooting though so I chose a top that I love from Ray's. I'm not sure how long I've had this top and I know I have it in bunch of colors but I do know that I wear all of them quite a bit during the warm months. I love the flexi of the the top's skirt and the colors are just gorgeous against a tan skin. For me its the perfect beach and summer wear. It looks great with jeans and shorts and looks totally comfy which is of course the purpose of clothes in the summer!

Skin Fair Shoot Out

Dear Diary,

Can we talk? I went to the skin fair today and boy did it suck! The first time I went was this morning while the puppy was at the groomers for her first hair cut. It was early in the morning so not much lag. Other than a few "Rendering Cost Nazi's" shouting out names of those who they "thought" were too high, it went smoothly as I gathered demos.

As the morning progressed though I heard tales of bad things happening to others while there but kept checking out my demos and about noon I started the arduous task of trying to get back in to make my purchases. Finally, at about 5 pm I was in!!! I was so excited as it had taken 5 hours to finally make it. As I arrived I am greeted by the notice... Do I want my windlight settings changed. UGH! NO! Then I get a notice about the script limits and am trying to read that and it says I have 153! WTF! I took off all my huds etc. BEFORE I came to the sim. So I check my inventory...nope none of them are attached. So I click OK. Then down pops another blue box saying something about I'm being kicked out for too many scripts and whoosh black screen. I never got to read the rest as not only was I kicked out but it crashed me. I relogged but wouldn't rez. I tried three more log ins on various viewers and STILL wouldn't rez. I finally had to resort to a character test and redo my entire avatar.

Now I know for a fact I took off my huds. I do also know that I am bugged atm as are several others with certain items not detaching. When I log on each time I have an extra hair and Tiny Birds boyfriend sweater collar on. Doesn't matter the viewer or what I try they are there. So maybe my huds only looked unattached but I had no way of knowing this other than looking at my inventory. I certainly don't appreciate being shot home much less out of game. This has got to be the worst customer service I have ever seen. (except for last year when the chick that ran it banned some gal by mistake because she "thought" she was wearing a copybotted skin and then had to unban her cuz oops she made a mistake).

My question is this...why don't any of the other fairs have this gestapo-like attitude? Why can the skin fair run smoothly without shooting people and limiting them with no advance warning. Like I said I was there earlier today and those pop ups weren't there but all of a sudden they are. Some sort of advance warning should be given ahead of time and I certainly don't think shooting people home after hours of trying to get into a place of business is the answer.

My solution...get someone new to run the skin fair!

For red this week I chose one of my favorite red dresses of all time in SL! It's an oldie from Kyoot but it has always been a classic for me. It always reminded me of something decadent and perhaps French so of course I had to head over to the French sims to take a picture. I'm not sure if it is still available or not as I didn't have a chance to pop over there. I have been stuck grading papers and doing laundry all day. This week's color is black...by far my favorite color of all. And I had several outfits picked out that were all black but I kept coming back to my favorite one that is mostly black so I decided to do that instead. This skirt is my favorite skirt in SL bar none. (6 years worth of skirts too) It flows beautifully and can be worn so many ways. It is very easy to dress up or throw on a sweater and some boots and it can be casual. Did I mention the flexi in it is perfection?

The top from Maitreya is another favorite and for almost the same reason. You can us this piece casually or for dress and pull it off with ease. Pieces like the two of these are staples for me and as far as I am concerned classics. (Which is why they will stay in my inventory for the next 6 years lol) I look forward to red next week. Probably my second favorite color but I'm not sure what I'll end up with on that one yet.

Ozimals and Magic of Oz's Year of the Bunny Hunt!

No one does a hunt like the Ozimals/ Magic of Oz team. They are so innovative and creative when it comes to their hunts. The hunts are fun, quick, easy and loaded with tons of goodies. Take for example the gift above from Fae & Tiny Fantasy Creations. It's adorable! I, of course, had to add a couple of mutants to it as they don't get much camera time poor things.

This gift is a really cute cuddle tree. As you can see I didn't have a spare cuddle person (lol) so just ignore that part. It is all linked together and the shadow is flexi. It is really well built and perfect for your landscaping needs. If you have bunnies they will love it too.

This gives you a full shot of the tree...a much better view minus me looking silly without the cuddle partner. :P

As I was searching for emerald this week I almost felt like it was St. Patty's day. lol I did find this dress I had from Elate!. It is the cutest sweater dress and I am so picky about the prim skirt attachment and she always does such a great job on them. As usual the texture is just perfection as well.

This is a close up of the neckline. It is high, almost like a hood which is just gorgeous in detail. It can be modified if you don't want it that high but I love the look of it.

I honestly didn't think I owned any taupe but upon doing a search I was pleasantly surprised that I'd forgotten about this sweater. I do that a lot because my inventory is way out of control. :/ Then of course I wondered if I had any boots to go with it and of course I had forgotten about my Redgrave boots as well. I just need to simply peruse my inventory once in a while I guess. lol I can't rave enough about how happy I am though about Elika Tiramisu making hair again. Not only does she produce superior textures and styles but her marketing cannot be outdone. I love her essentials collections! Most places I am forced to buy more than one color pack if I want more than one color but she recognizes that we don't want all those colors but usually just one from each shade. I appreciate her insight to that fact and the fact she doesn't try to take advantage of us wanting to change hair colors frequently. I've been a long time fan...first on my Echo Kinsella avie and now on Whispers...so I just want to Thank her for keeping all of us in many beautiful styles and colors for so many years!

Sienna was a harder color than I thought but then I remembered a lovely gift that SF Designs had given us. Holidays at Ozimals

The holiday season has arrived at Ozimal's and with it came some totally fabulous elites. Pictured above are the one's I've received so far as well as the holiday elites that you can purchase for a chance at some new winter eyes. They are superbly done as are the new food and the wonderful happy trees and gingerbread hutches. The team really outdid themselves this time. One thing you can count on with Ozimal's is creativity!

Along with all the new products, they are also having some fantastic events. The first one was Sunday and they arranged to have the most spectacular carolers come sing for us. They sang several songs and were such a treat! In my 6 years in game, I don't think I have ever seen anything cuter! The second event takes place tomorrow night. There promises to be special treats for New Year's and the big Anniversary coming up so stay tuned.

If you haven't been to the Magic of Oz sim lately winter has arrived and it is just beautiful! They have provided some fun places for you to take photos and provided various fun activities.

You do have to be a little careful though in some places because the trees get a little hungry in the winter and sometimes they tend to eat you! :/

But while the Magic of Oz sim is decked out in all its glory they didn't forget the Ozimals sim.

The Ozimals sim is all decked out for winter and fun. They even have a place set up for a great snowball fight.

As I was getting ready to decorate my house in game and unpacking the "Christmas box" that I store it all in, I started to look at some of the things I have received over the 6 years I have been in game. Some bought, some gained through hunts but some given to me by some of the best friends anyone could have in SL. (you bishes know who you are!) I was amazed by the talent and sheer generosity of these people.

I'll admit I have really had a rough couple of weeks. On Tuesday I had to put my dog of 11 years down. She had a couple of mini strokes on Thanksgiving and just continued to get worse and I decided I was being selfish and it was time. It was extremely hard to do because I live in a pretty crappy house and she was my bright spot to come home to each day. But that also meant with her going I had to get another...the empty house just killed me. Christmas is not the time to come up with money for a puppy but I did. I had my son help me pick her out but refused his name of Darth Vader. lol I was so busy with the new puppy I even forgot my 6th rez day. It just goes to show ya as ya get older they aren't as important. lol

Anyway, my real point is I wanted to take a moment to THANK all the wonderful stores out there that create wonderful things for us and then turn around and give them to us for free. I know I have received some truly amazing things and although I may not buy something at the time I really do try and go back and get something at your store in the future. AND it really is appreciated a lot! So never think it isn't! Happy Holidays to everyone!

I have been missing Mad Men lately on Sunday Nights. For a while there I had like 4 shows I watched on Sundays (which is a lot for me) and now I just have Dexter and I sort of miss them all. I especially miss tuning in to see what they were all wearing. I remember the 60's because I was a child during that time. Yes, I am old. It was so interesting because you had the fashion such as they show on Mad Men and then you had the whole hippy culture going on at the same time. But then Laura Fauna put out her dimples and I was once again surprised and pleased. I am ranting so feel free to not read this if you don't want hear it. I was on my other account buying some land next to mine and had just logged off. As I was on my main account I noticed on my tracker that my land alt was 900 meters away and I thought what the heck. I tp'd to where she was and thought she was ghosted until she moved! She was right outside my skybox. So someone was on my account! As I cam into my skybox I see some Linden in there. 0.0 I send an IM to my avie asking why they are on my account. No answer! I send the Linden a message to see why they are on my account...actually I sent several and it ended up with me telling him I was gonna blog this whole thing! (like he cared) He never even acknowledged me.

I have been a premium account holder for almost 6 years and I really think that behavior sucks. I have never been suspended or banned or in any kind of trouble so you would think the least they could do was answer me. I spend my fair share each month in this game and I guarantee you over the years I have for sure!

Sooo....what was my favorite thing about The Summer of Love Fair? The bra with guns of course! After your basket is full you chose a place from the drop down box and receive a fork for that location. If you head on over to the store with the fork in hand and get close enough to get a big bite of cake you get a lovely gift.

I was reading an article about the Linden job layoffs here
and was taking a look at the comments below it when I noticed a comment from
Rightasrain (from rezzable.com). In the comment he mentions Greenies closing at the end of this month. :(
"I wish you had asked him who he thinks his customers are. I think 2-years in he would still struggle to answer that one. We are deleting greenies this month btw--it will only be on our Rezzable opensim-based grid after June. Fed-up paying money to Lindcn Lab and seeing others waste their money also."

So I decided to post a photo tribute to one of my favorite sims and to thank Rezzable for allowing us the chance to enjoy the fun for as long as they did. :)

I hate that 2L never delivers my notices because it was pure chance that I checked the Twisted and Spoiled group notices and saw there was a new one. I was waiting for a nest to hatch...I do that a lot....and of course had time on my hands so I was going through all the groups I belong to and checking to see if I'd missed anything. Glad I did!

I love both of these outfits and they are so versatile! Cheeky the one on the left can be worn as a dress or with the tights and comes with capris as well. So you can totally make it your own however you choose to wear it. Feisty is a wonderful "overall" look and the prim skirt is perfect! I am so picky about prim skirts and if you can see the prim I won't wear it but this one is just perfect! As an educator of 26 years I have seen my share of bullying. I have stopped boys from dunking a fellow students head in the toilet and reported boys from whispering to a 12yo girl that they were going to rape her. It goes on daily and we try with all our might to stop it. Do we catch it all? No way! We need help! The help of others to report it when we can't be everywhere. Tomorrow is Pink Shirt Day in Second Life and we are trying to raise awareness that its OK to speak up and stand up against bullies. I hope you can and will do your part.

Pink Shirt Day...

What is Pink Shirt Day you ask? Last year a few of us wore shirts after Lawless McBride posted about it in his blog here. It was a small dithering of us and we swore that this year we would make it bigger. December Dollinger being the goddess that she is took it upon herself to do just that! And so we have "Pink Shirt Day" 2010 in Second Life!

Bullying happens when someone scares or hurts another person on purpose, physically, mentally, or emotionally. Usually, this happens on a repeat basis - the victim being attacked over and over, and unable - or afraid - to defend themselves.

Bullying can include physical violence, spreading bad rumors, purposefully excluding another person from a group or activity, teasing in a mean or inappropriate way, or even gathering others to "gang up" on others.

Cyberbullying happens electronically. This can include some of the categories of normal bullying, but can also include posting nasty rumors, pictures, or messages about others on blogs, forums, or other websites, or using another's name to pose as them and spread rumors about them via the internet.

YOU can make a difference! If you see someone being bullied and do nothing about it, you are just as guilty as the bully themselves. Turning a blind eye to any kind of abuse is only enabling the abusers to continue harming others. Speak up! Stand up! The more people who are willing to stand up for what they believe in, the less power the bullies will have to abuse and control others.

So, please, take a a stand against bullying, in your First and Second Life. Bullying is not something only felt by school-aged children, but by millions of people worldwide - of all ages, genders, races...it knows no limits.

Every time I go to Whippet & Buck I end up buying a bunch of stuff instead of my intended purchases! lol Please someone ban me from there! I love the top I am wearing in this picture! It comes in a ton of colors and has the most delicate lace and ties on the back. I'm not showing them but they also have some adorable corsets in various floral colors that are to die for. I find W&B products to be extremely well made and the price can't be beat in my book! Of course if there are bunneh t-shirts I'm gonna find them! But lucky for me I didn't even have to hunt! Terri Wardell of terri.tees dropped some preview copies of some awesome t-shirts and LOOK! there were bunneh shirts in there! Terri has some really fantastic t-shirts with some great sayings and pictures on them! You can't beat her prices either! Most of her shirts are 25L and worth every Linden!

They don't have bunnehs at the clothing fair?

HI! My name is Whispers and I'm an Ozimals Bunneh addict! I freely admit it. I about freaked today when I looked at my bunneh monitor and it said I had 90 bunnehs. 90? Where the heck did that extra 20 come from because I could swear I only had 70! I know 70 is bad enough. They somehow just sort of multiply...well ...like bunnehs!

I'm sure you're wondering what the heck this has to do with the Clothing Fair. Well...I have found that my former addiction...shopping...has taken a back seat to my new one! I didn't go to the fair for days while it was open where as in the past I would have been there at opening day. I casually strolled in a lag free atmosphere today and did a little shopping. The problem was as I was shopping I kept comparing the prices to how it would relate to the bunnehs. For example...if I didn't buy that dress I could buy a new bunneh or some food or more red bunneh. ( Pretty pathetic actually.) I did pick up a couple things I really like though as you can see in the pictures.

The jacket is a faux leather and short cropped which I liked as it had a little different look from some of my other ones I already had. It came in a bunch of colors so if you aren't hooked on black go check out all the other colors they offer. (bright ones too!) The jeans are yet another pair of bf jeans which I own a ton of but I hate looking like I wear the same jeans over and over and I liked the look of these and love how they fit so I grabbed another pair. If you aren't a bunneh addict like me the fair has a ton to offer so you really should go check it out!

Spring? Summer?

I live in Arizona so we don't have spring per se. We just jump right into Summer. We aren't particularly fond of it either. I tend to drag out my winter wear in 2L for as long as I can but I ran across this top at Oyakin and fell in love with it. (and about 15 others) Sooo I put away my winter gear and decided spring/summer here I come!

This top comes in a bunch of colors and the top is flexi and simply adorable. The jeans are from COCO. They are part of the Vintage Salopette jeans without the bib. I love the way they fit and the cuffs at the bottom. Most of what comes out of COCO I love sadly lol as it makes my lindens disappear quite quickly! The flip flops (we called them thongs in my day) are from Surf Couture. I started out with just a few colors but I'm pretty sure I own all the colors now. We wear these as a staple in AZ and it just seemed natural to do so in 2L as well.

To me this is the perfect comfortable spring/summer outfit. If you haven't been to any of these shops lately go check out the wonderful new items they have. All of them are quality and worth your time.

Now for something different!

I have NOT made it into the clothing fair and I don't believe anything I am wearing is there so I am pretty sure my post will be the exception on the blogs. lol This is my LOTD today. Nothing fancy and really just proving a point to my son which is a long story in itself.

The shorts are from Lelutka and I love them. They are the type you can dress up or down and I am all about versatile clothes. The hair is "so last year" from "69" but I still love it and wear it whenever I can find an outfit to mesh it in with. The shoes are just one of the many colors I own of the new releases from Surf Couture. I adore these shoes and am pretty sure I will own the whole array of colors before the summer is up. The shirt is part of an outfit from +Cross+. Mostly Gothic clothes there but as you can see easily mixed and matched.

Overall a pretty generic outfit but one I would wear in rl so I figured why not 2l. I hope to make it back to the clothing fair without crashing someday before they close...no promises though.

A Visit to Emerald's Dinosaur...

Soooo my friend Emerald mentioned her cool dinosaur on her roof in her blog which can be read here. She mentioned she got a kick out of the pictures people took of themselves with her dinosaur so I thought I'd pop over and take some so share on my blog. :)

These first two are a sort of meet and greet. I'm the slightly uglier green dino on the right.

As I was snapping pictures I wondered if I could sit on her dinosaur. Apparently I could as you can see in this picture. lol

The one above and below are my "artistic" attempts of the two dinosaurs. roflmao Notice the lovely windlight settings. (rolls eyes)

And last I had to show the humorous picture of me tping home! Ummmm...I didn't quite fit in my barn. :/

I miss WINTER!

Nooo not the season, the man! Winter Jefferson! I miss him! He is one of those people that if you get the chance to know him you are blessed. I was one of those blessed folks.

I first met Winter in Consolidated Cafe and then some of us branched off to another group and I got to know him even better there. We have awesome gatherings and a wonderful group of friends.

Even when he would sit around and think about who to devour first. :/

There is a sensitive side to Mr. Jefferson too. He has always made a point of being kind to me. He has gone out of his way to make me feel special when no one else did and that has meant a great deal to me even if I never said so.

Oh I think he likes animals too! :P

Winter likes to have many faces in 2L...sometimes even Ruth. 0.0

Bunnybury...

Unless you have been living under a rock, Ozimals has created the hottest AI pet to hit 2L. The bunnies are everywhere and totally adorable! They have great plans for them but what about as they age?

Unlike some of the other pets that have been released, Ozimals planned for the bunnies old age. They created a great retirement home called Bunnybury. Bunnybury is from The Emerald City of Oz which is the sixth book in L. Frank Baum's Wizard of Oz book series. It is an enclosed village in the Quadling Country of Oz inhabited by civilized bunnies. Glinda made the city of Bunnybury because she is fond of rabbits. She built the wall, fixed up the city, and made the laws. Then she invited all the pink-eyed white rabbits to live in the city. When the Ozimals Bunnies reach their time in 2L they will head out to Bunnybury and live in this wonderful place the Ozimals team has built for them.

We don't have a lot of details on how it will all work but we do know that if our bunnies get returned to inventory or fly off world they won't die and that is sure better than some of the past vendors gave us. This team has worked very hard to keep its consumers happy and I think they are doing a fabulous job.

Ozimals Sim is Opening Soon!

The Ozimals Team headed up by Candy Cerveau and Malkavyn Eldritch are ready to launch the Ozimal Bunnies! The new Ozimals sim is ready and they did NOT disappoint when it came to the build. Much like their wonderful sim The Magic of Oz, Ozimals is a land of whimsy and absolute beauty, the perfect place for Bunnies to live and thrive. Humans can have a grand time there as well!

Pictured above is the Main Store where you can purchase all sorts of goodies. (More on that below.) You can also join the update group and see the bunnies on display there.

As you can see the Sim is gorgeous! It has four different areas you can TP to. They are: Puck's Glen, Azureglow Marsh, Bellhedge Haven, and the Marketplace.

Below I have a Tank top set that I purchase in the Main Store by SilentSparrow. She has PJ's and some other really cute items there you need to check out.

In the market place I purchase the world's smallest bunny. You pay 25L and take a chance at a variety of different versions. I am wearing the earrings and the snot bunny below. (I removed the snot lol) They are hard to see because ...well they ARE the world's smallest bunnies!

Friday, January 8th from 1-8 slt Ozimals is having an open house so please, please go check out this awesome new sim for yourself. Well, Today I woke up and there was an earthquake here 0.0, my hand is still in a brace and not getting better and I ended up with a migraine. Overall not the greatest of days BUT my Nebraska Cornhuskers totally shut out Arizona in the Holiday Bowl so that made it much much better.

After the game I logged in to find a lovely gift from Terri Wardell the owner of Terri.Tees. Her t-shirts are well made and extremely affordable. She has a variety of colors and humorous sayings. I have been a fan of DE Designs since I can remember. In fact in my over 5 years in game I can't remember NOT shopping there. Doc has always been one of the stores that provided quality clothes with quality service. His latest called Diablo 09 is no exception. It comes on all the layers you can imagine and best of all he provided a note card with instructions on how to get the various looks so dressing is fast and easy! (A must for those of us that are blond in rl lol)

You can see how awesome the detail is and the textures are exquisite! I love the added burgundy color with the black and gold. It makes it very rich looking. You can see all the different variations that this outfit can be worn on the DE Designs blog HERE.

HC Creations Part 2 38/365

This is the second and last part I'm going to cover of my friend Hunter Cyr's builds. Today I believe I am covering his first and latest but I could be wrong. I am sending in this post a little early to qualify as my post for the 24th and will send in another in the morning as I have to go to my parents for Christmas and they only have dial up. (groans) This house is called The Country Cottage. As you can see from the first picture is adorably quaint and yes the ferns out front come with it.

This is the back of the cottage and it has a great patio area perfect for parties or grilling out etc.

This is the main floor at an angle. The fireplace come with the fire and not that you can see it from my crappy picture but there is a fry pan on the stove and a pot of soup that will give you a bowl if you are really really hungry! The textures are fantastic both here and upstairs.

This is a shot of the upstairs. It too has a fireplace and you can see better in the picture below the window seat that comes with it.

The window seat can be left off if you need the prims but it does come with poses built in and adds a great touch to the upstairs area. The cottage is 200 prims but can be lowered to 186 if you need to.

Hunter's newest build is an "L" shaped skybox. It has an urban feel with the textures he used and they are really well done. The widest part of the "L"has the raised platform you see in the picture above. I can think of a variety of ways to use that area.

The skybox is only 35 Prims and really is beautiful inside. Both builds come with Rez Foo for easy instillation and can be found HERE in game.

I went to visit the Jabberwocky sim today as I hadn't been there in what was probably 3 years? As I was falling through and stumbling about I discovered the Famish store. I was delighted to see it was owned by the lovely blogger Whisper Despres. I have read her blog and think she's got an awesome name. :P

I checked out her store and she's got the cutest stuff. She has some awesome rubenesque shapes, belts, and mouth accessories. You have to see them for yourself and they are all reasonable priced. Above I am wearing a belt called the "Emotionally Emo" Belt. I think it speaks for itself. lol

I also decided to buy her adorable soap. My 2L mom is always threatening us with a bar of soap for our potty mouths so this will come in handy! lol It comes with or without the bubbles which is so cute and is only 50L. HC Creations is owned and operated by a good friend of mine named Hunter Cyr. He constructs beautifully textured builds that are low prim and easy to set up. Pictured here is one that we are currently using as our store. We modified it a little but the urban textures are great and it is perfectly put together.

This view shows the main floor and a bit of the loft. As you can see, it's versatile in that it could be a home, a store, or even a club.

It has a loft and a hidden walkway to the roof. It uses the Rez Foo system for easy set up and is only 195 prims.

This build is called The Lake House. He based it off the movie of the same name and it is just gorgeous. It is so wonderfully done and looks so much like the one in the movie.

This is an inside shot but it doesn't do it justice. The windows tint, it has a deck under the house, two private balconies and the roof is perfect for romantic dancing or parties. It too comes with the ever easy Rez Foo system and is only 286 prims.

Sadly it was one of those days that you are stuck with what I was wearing and I don't even think I went anywhere in 2L other than to land in LE Look to grab today's goodies. Real life issues, serious ones with my son :( , kept me out of game a good share of the day and then there were the phone calls to family afterwards. This is a collection of things I do love though. I wear these COCO pants a lot! And this jacket has become a fast favorite as well. Both very handy items for most wardrobes. I see my clock ticking if I want this post in before midnight so that is it for today. Hope your Sunday was better than mine. :)

It's official! I am on vacation for the next two weeks! Wooooo hoooo! Christmas break is second only to summer break for teachers. It means we are halfway through the year which is a huge milestone. It means we can make it because the end is in sight. lol

Since it is the first day of vacation I am a slacker and showing nothing new at all. The boots and jeans are from COCO. The socks are from Line and the Henley from Doppelganger. Fishy Strawberry had the jacket either as a gift or 50L Friday I can't remember. It is one of my favorite outfits though and definitely something I would wear in rl.

One of the sweetest most generous people I know in 2L is not doing well in RL. Her name is Tabitha Ninetails and she owns a business called The Laughing Academy. Her store has the most exquisite designs in it. She has gowns, jewelry, umbrellas, shoes, hats...all sorts of goodies. Above I am wearing one of her designs from the Swansong show. It is gorgeous and the flow on the gown is magnificent.

This dress comes in a variety of colors but I thought this was perfect for the current season. You can wear it with or without the Holly Pin. The quality on her work is superb and definitely worth the small price you pay for them. (She is very reasonably priced.)

This last gown was also from the Swansong show. The colors are remarkable and when you move you feel as if the ocean is moving. Truly a work of art as are most of her designs.

I know I am probably biased as she is my friend but you really should go check out her wonderful items. In the process you would be getting some great quality items that you can enjoy for a long time! You can find them on the Gypsy sim here.

This is what I call my inventory dig. It's when I can't find anything to wear in my 83k inventory and I just start pulling stuff out I have never heard of. Yes, I have clothes I have never heard of and have no earthly idea where I got them or when. How sad is that? lol

The pants are what started this ensemble. I tried them on and loved them! Probably why I bought them. lol Go figure! They are black with a lovely grey pattern on them and the top is part of the outfit but I wanted a rougher look to it so I paired up the leather jacket and bax's boots to edge it up a bit. The style sheet is below. Try digging deep in your inventory sometime... you might be surprised. Maybe you have stuff you have no clue you have either. ;)

Atomic's on Fire! 27/365

Atomic has several new releases today and they rock! She's rebuilding her store again. No idea why and after moving mine yesterday I can't imagine doing it voluntarily that often! lol

The cardigan I'm wearing is part of the Stumblebum Brigade purchases you can make which I believe ends today. But she has a ton of other colors to choose from as well in this. I really enjoy her design on this as it doesn't break into my hips or other areas and look stupid when I wear my AO or walk. Two thumbs up for this prim sweater!

Underneath she also put out some really cute frilled shirts in different colors and I can see me wearing this over and over under my many different cardi's. I am a jeans and sweater kind of girl so this is great for some variety.
There are three new hairstyles too. This is one called Josie and it comes with a resize script and an update package inside. The tails on the side are flexi and you get two versions, one with and one without the tails. Each color is only 100L which rocks! You aren't stuck with a bunch of colors you won't wear and can mix and match them! Well done! Go check out all the yummy goodness at Atomic here!

And I really mean that title...TGIF!! One more week until Christmas vacation and guarantee the kiddos know it and properly driving us nuts! :) You parents get them back soon enough! :P

I am wearing some of the cutest freebies I have gotten in a long time. The sweater set is from SF design which has been around forever. It comes with a variety of hat versions including hair! The scarf is flexi and the cuffs are prim. She really does quality work on this and best of all its FREE!

The boots are a Christmas gift from COCO and she is always generous with her group. Her free stuff is some of the best stuff out there and these are no exception. She gave us three colors to choose from and I'm wearing the red ones. She was also so kind as to give us brown and black and they come with her wonderful resizer HUD. Definitely a couple of freebies you need to grab!
